The Offshore Operators Committee (OOC) is a non-profit organization comprised of 138 members engaged in drilling and producing hydrocarbon resources in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean whose activities are focused on providing its member operators with information and technical support that will assist them in conducting their offshore activities in a manner that will promote sound safety and environmental operational practice.









Our Members are any person, firm, or corporation owning offshore leases and our Associate Members are any person, firm, or corporation engaged in offshore activity as a drilling contractor, service company, supplier or any other capacity that desires to participate in the work of the OOC.


In 2014, the OOC saw a dramatic increase in regulatory activity, the chart below tracks the official OOC letter responses to various agency action and requests for comment.
